What's the difference between Sea Lions and Seals?

The difference between Sea Lion and Seals were among many things we learned in our Field Trip to Shedd Aquarium.

When we go in a field trip, if you are not taking notes it can be really hard to remember many of the things we learned, so we did a little research to make sure we really learned the difference between Sea Lions and Seals.

Our online research helped us to learn these basic differences:
- Sea Lions: bark loudly, "walk"on land using their large flippers and have visible ear flaps.
- Seals: have small flippers, wriggle on their bellies on land, and lack visible ear flaps.

Would you like now,  to watch a short video of a Sea Lion "walking" on land?

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
